Of the look, Haenn said in a press release: “Our goal was to treat this ensemble as a piece of high-concept art—balancing the immense weight of Indian heritage with a cinematic, sculptural silhouette. My approach to styling has always been about finding the narrative thread that connects a person to their clothes. With Sudha, that thread is her incredible commitment to her hometown. We wanted to take the intricate, 3,000-year-old language of Kalamkari and present it through a modern, high-fashion lens that resonates on a world stage like the Met.”
