The bond between CEO and creative director Inaki Root and his grandmother, Milagros, is what launched the Milamore jewellery brand, founded in 2019. Her name means “miracle” in Spanish and “amore” meaning “love” in Italian was added.
George, who is part Japanese and spent various years in Japan before moving to New York, where he is now based, takes his inspiration from around the world. Traditions, heritage and culture are celebrated and innovated.

Milamore is insistent in who it is designed for. You, the wearer. Pieces should become part of your story, such as talismans. Jewellery is unisex and inclusive.
Everything is designed in New York and handcrafted in Japan by a family of artisans who have perfected their craft over the decades. There is a 10-step process which carries through the sketch; the wax carving and casting; and hand-set gemstones, which are sourced with ethical standards.

Diamonds are conflict-free and responsibly sourced; small amounts only are produced of the jewellery, which are created one by one. Niche is the new luxury according to the designer.
