Watches & Wonders is one of the most hotly anticipated events on the watchmaking calendar, with the sophisticated creations unveiled at Bulgari being a yearly highlight.

This year, the Roman jeweller has updated its Octo line, a collection first introduced in 2012. The new Octo Roma offering is led by a trio of 41mm automatic models powered by the in-house calibre BVL 191. Each colour way – anthracite, white and ocean blue – is elevated by a Clous de Paris motif on the dial, while hands, enhanced with Super-LumiNova, play with light for a textured appeal.

In a first for the Octo Roma collection, Bulgari has also debuted a pair of chronographs in a 42mm size, powered by the calibre BVL 399. Each timepiece features a central seconds hand, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour counter, allowing the wearer to keep track of elapsed time with ultimate precision.

In a subtle case size of 38mm, the new Octo Roma Precious Tourbillon Lumière is the only new ladies’ addition to the Octo Roma collection. Here, Bulgari hybridises watchmaking and jewellery codes in a matrix of rose gold, with a diamond-set bezel, case middle, lugs and crown that beautifully magnify a skeleton movement.

Just when you thought the Octo couldn’t get any prettier, the Octo Roma Precious Naturalia is a sophisticate’s dream with a dial adorned with silky tiger’s eye. Complete with a skeletonised manufacture movement and a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, it’s a visual marvel that beautifully rounds out these exciting new launches.
