Undoubtedly two of the biggest unlikely style icons of their generation. From the bucket hats to the parkas to the messy bowl wannabe Mod haircuts, Liam and Noel Gallagher’s impact over British culture and style over the last 30 years has been gigantic. And with the brothers making up for the enormously successful reunion tour that began last year and is expected to resume in 2027, Oasis chic is back in fashion.
That fashion also extends to the wrist and while neither Gallagher are noted for their enormous, highly complicated Robert Downey Jr-like collections, they have their own taste – whether that be Liam wearing watches like Diego Maradona or Noel liking things sweet and simple.
With Don’t Look Back in Anger, the acclaimed documentary about the reunion arriving in cinemas this week, here’s the perfect chance to look at some of the best watches worn by the Gallagher brothers over the years. Warning: there’s a lot of Rolex.
Rolex Datejust

Following the mammoth success of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory in 1995, Oasis’ label held a big Christmas bash at a Holland Park hotel where each member received a luxury gift from Alan McGee. Noel famously received a Rolls-Royce despite not knowing how to drive and Liam, along with Bonehead, Alan White and Paul McGuigan getting vintage Rolex’s. Liam specifically received a Datejust on a jubillee bracelet.
Rolex Submariner

Undoubtedly Liam’s favourite watch in the late 1990’s, it was front and centre of both the “D’You Know What I Mean?” music video while he also wore it on the cover of Q Magazine. When Liam went through the phase of wearing a watch on each wrist, usually at least one of them would be a Submariner.
TAG Heuer 2000
Doing an early photoshoot in 1994 at Maine Road not long after they were signed to Creation Records, Noel must have spent his signing bonus on this TAG Heuer 2000, which was a very popular model at the time and noticeably slimmer and gentler than their other watches. If you wanted to buy one now, it’d be one of the cheaper ways of getting a TAG.He also wore this watch while writing “The Masterplan”.
TAG Heuer Monaco
Infamously worn by Liam during a confrontation with paparazzi in 2001 outside of a hospital following the birth of his son, Gene, it’s one of the few times the frontman was seen in anything other than a Rolex. But then you can’t really go wrong with a Monaco, even if it did little to calm Liam’s agitation.
Rolex Explorer
Continuing his trend of wearing subtle timepieces, Noel has also been sporting a Rolex Explorer while on tour in Japan, emphasising that he’s not one for the flash, fitting in with his general approach to style of playing everything understated – unlike his parka coat wearing younger brother.
