His and hers watches typically refer to matching timepieces in different sizes.
A set of matching watches makes for a timeless anniversary gift to your partner or a sentimental keepsake you can pick out together. It can also make for a great gift to newlyweds. The options below show combinations of different-sized, matching tickers that work great for any wrist size. Read on to discover the most iconic brands and models that make for great couples’ watches.
Tudor
Earlier this year, Tudor released a sea of new Black Bays with a revamped design. The Tudor Black Bay has been one of the Swiss watchmaker’s most popular families since the model first hit the market in 2012.
The watch is inspired by the Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner, Tudor’s first dedicated dive watch from 1954, and features iconic brand emblems such as the snowflake hand.
The newly released Black Bays – the 31, 36, 39 and 41 – get their names from their case size, with 31mm being the smallest. The variety of coloured dials – blue, silver, and black – make an excellent choice for a matching set. Most of the models also come with a diamond dot variation, with plenty of stainless steel and gold editions to choose from.
Below are some of our favourite Black Bay combinations:

The 31mm case size is a classic ladies’ timepieces. Women who prefer a slightly larger case, however, could easily opt for the 36mm instead, with or without the addition of diamonds. The same goes for men – while typically gravitating towards 36mm, 39mm or 41mm sizes, there’s nothing stopping the male watch connoisseur from selecting a smaller case size.

These new Black Bays have self-winding automatic movements, with the 31mm having a 50-hour power reserve, and the 36mm, 39mm and 41mm having a 70-hour power reserve. This means you can take the watches off for up to 2-3 days, and they’ll still be going. Any longer, quickly rewinding and resetting the time will get the watch back up to speed.
All the models come with a patented T-fit clasp, which makes the bracelet easily adjustable. The steel and gold versions have yellow gold centre links at 6 and 12 o’clock, with the remaining links in steel covered by an 18K yellow gold cap.
Rado
Rado has been a specialist in high-tech ceramic watches since the release of the Integral in 1986. The True Square is a updated take on the iconic Rado shape, and the first Rado watch to use a square injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case. The watches are light wearing, and highly scratch resistant, making them perfect for long-lasting anniversary gifts.

The Rado True Square is such a recognisable model from the brand that your choice of his and hers watches don’t have to be an exact match to still have a cohesive look.
For instance, you could opt for a smaller white model, alongside the 2023 white True Square Automatic Skeleton. The new True Square Automatic is perfect for watch fans who like to see the intricate mechanics of the watch during wear with a sapphire crystal glass on both sides. The white True Square Diamond has a stylish, feminine look, with a mother-of-pearl diamond dot dial and quartz movement.

Cartier
The Cartier Tank is an iconic model from the French jeweller and appears in several variations including the Tank Must, Tank Française and Tank Louis. It was first developed by Cartier in 1917 in homage to the design of a combat vehicle viewed from above.

Most of the watches come in different sizes, including small, medium, and large. The Tank Must is a classic dress watch, with roman numerals and a black grained leather strap. The beaded crown is set with a synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel which matches the blued-steel sword-shaped hands. The large model case measures 33.7 mm x 25.5 mm, while the small measures 29.5 mm x 22 mm, and both are battery powered. There is also an extra-large model available with an automatic movement.

Omega
First introduced in 2002, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra has grown into a versatile and elegant collection, suitable for any taste and style. Today’s Aqua Terras are METAS certified. Such a certification means that each watch has passed 8 different tests related to quality, durability, and accuracy. They only have a 5-second variation each day (0 +5), which is 5 seconds less than the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (-4 +6).
The wide range of designs, styles, materials and sizes make the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra an excellent choice for a matching watch set.

With Omega’s Aqua Terra Shades collection, watch fans have the the possibility of purchasing the same size timepiece in different colours. The 34mm watches come in several dial shades, including lagoon green, sandstone, sea blue, lavender and shell pink. These dials are lacquered and sun-brushed from the centre. The date window, hands, indexes and Omega logo are made from diamond-polished 18K white gold.

There are 38mm Aqua Terra Shades available in bay green, saffron, terracotta, sandstone and Atlantic blue. These watches have rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova which makes them visible in the dark.

The watches have a self-winding movement with a 55-hour power reserve and are water resistant to 150 metres. Different combinations, whether varying colours or sizes, are high-quality options for matching anniversary watches that will last a lifetime and beyond.
Breitling
Breitling’s Navitimer is one of its most famous pilot watches. The Navitimer was born when Willy Breitling was approached by the US Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association in 1952 and asked to create a new chronograph for its members. The Navitimer enables pilots to perform all necessary flight calculations, and its iconic look is just as recognisable and stylish today.

Available in a variety of case sizes and colours, with both bracelet and strap options, there’s a Navitimer to suit any style. The multiple variations also make the Navitimer an excellent option for a “his and hers” watch.
The COSC-certified chronometers have a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Both the 35mm and the 41mm have various leather strap options that can be purchased as an extra, making them highly versatile for different occasions.
