Few high jewellers cast such a spell of wonder through its annual high jewellery and watchmaking collections as Van Cleef & Arpels.
This winter, the French house has debuted its latest offering inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1883 adventure novel, ‘Treasure Island’.

Drawing on nautical influences – design cues which have long inspired the maison – the new high jewellery collection features over 125 pieces, each an homage to the ocean and its hidden treasures.

Split into three chapters – ‘the boat journey’, ‘the exploration of the island’ and ‘the quest for treasure’ – the luxurious line-up spans sculptural brooches crafted to resemble turtles and seafaring pirates, a ruby and diamond bracelet in a wave motif and chunky cocktail rings encrusted with rainbow gemstones.

Highlighting the collection is the Hispaniola brooch – named after the ship in Stevenson’s epic tale – which required 380 hours to complete. Frosted entirely with diamonds, the ship features billowing sails, a mast and hull, showcasing incredible stone expertise and Van Cleef & Arpels’ long heritage of stone craftsmanship.
