Fendi has launched a new high jewellery collection titled ‘Eaux d’Artifice’ in celebration of the brand’s 100th anniversary.
The sparkling collection was born from the elemental pull of the city of Rome and blends tradition, innovation and a strong connection to the city, which has served as a constant muse to the Italian luxury brand.
The ‘Eaux d’Artifice’ collection – which takes its name from the French word for fireworks – pays tribute to the glorious fountains of Rome and its vast network of underground aqueducts to water the gardens and palazzos of the city and its hinterland.
Comprised of 3 unique parures, 3 cocktail rings, and the one-of-a-kind, namesake centennial necklace, each piece is a monochrome expression of exceptional gemstones and diamonds crafted in the high jewellery ateliers in Paris.
Various gemstones such as Mozambique rubies, Colombian emeralds, spinel, topaz, garnets and pink and yellow sapphires are featured in the pieces.
The highlight of the collection would be the centennial necklace. The jewellery piece features an extraordinary 20.25 carat cushion cut Fancy Vivid Flawless Yellow diamond set on the diagonal within a cascading fountain design of perfect symmetry.
Speaking about the collection (As per Xmag), Delfina Delettrez Fendi, the maison’s jewellery artistic director and fourth generation of the founding family, shared that she wanted to transform the past.
“This is what Fendi represents for me: it doesn’t want to repeat history, it wants to project it forward, even if the inspiration comes from Roman fountains,” she explained.
In other jewellery news, Mikey Madison, Pharrell Williams, Anderson .Paak and more recently celebrated the opening of a new Tiffany & Co. flagship Asia store.
