Brad Pitt’s highly anticipated new F1 movie arrives in cinemas this week (June 25) and the stars of the film have been hitting the red carpet wearing some stunning watches.
The film is directed and produced by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton as well as the film’s star Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Garner and Chad Oman.
Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes is a former racing driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris’ character Joshua Pearce as his younger team mate on the fictional APXGP team.
Other cast members include Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. Ehren Kruger wrote the screenplay, and the film was executive produced by Daniel Lupi.
Last night (June 23) in the London premiere of the film at Leicester Square, the stars came out wearing everything from IWC to Rolex – here, we round up some of the best looks of the evening.
Damson Idris – IWC
British actor Idris was spotted wearing an IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 (Ref. IW324903), crafted entirely from 18-carat 5N gold at the European premiere of F1® The Movie at Cineworld Leicester Square in London.

Hans Zimmer – IWC
Legendary composer Hans Zimmer was spotted wearing an IWC Portugieser Eternal Calendar (Ref. IW505701), IWC Schaffhausen’s first secular perpetual calendar at the premiere. Zimmer has scored the music for the film and was seen on the red carpet wearing the classy IWC piece.
Tom Cruise – Rolex
Brad Pitt’s old acting buddy, Tom Cruise, made a surprise appearance on the red carpet, wearing a classic Rolex look. The pair starred together in the 1994 film, Interview with the Vampire and were reunited last night in London. Cruise wore a Rolex Daytona in platinum.
It’s not the first time this year Cruise has sported a Rolex. Back in May, the actor wore the same model while out and about on the press tour for the next instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise with Final Reckoning.
At the press launch of the film in South Korea last month (May 8), the actor was seen wearing a stunning Rolex Platinum Daytona (ref 116506). Made of full gold and stainless steel with an ice blue dial, it also featured a platinum case and bracelet alongside a brown Cerachrom bezel.
The chances of getting a watch like this retail is a challenge thanks to the exceptionally long waiting list. Even on the secondary market, the watch is expected to fetch well over £50,000.
Simone Ashley – IWC
Simone Ashley also wore an IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 (Ref. IW324903) at the premiere alongside some stunning Skydiamond jewellery. Ashley wore the High Jewellery Hera Hoops and the Double Love Ring, both of which were set in 18ct yellow-gold with White lab-grown diamonds.
Patrick Schwarzenegger – Tommy Hilfiger
Also in attendance was Patrick Schwarzenegger who wore a plush Tommy Hilfiger watch, model TH85. With a red and blue bezel, the watch, which you can see below, was set in steel.
Brad Pitt – Vacheron Constantin
Pitt has been sporting some Vacheron Constantin throughout his press tour and last night was no exception. He was spotted in the Vacheron Constantin 222 model in the gold version, which was reintroduced in 2022. He also owns the brand new steel version (announced earlier this year) and the vintage steel version – something he first sported at Wimbledon 2023.
At other recent press calls, Pitt was also seen wearing a vintage Patek Philippe (ref 2526), from the 1950s, also in gold.
In the F1 film itself, Pitt’s character is seen wearing an IWC Schaffhausen model (the watchmakers are partners with the film itself). The limited edition Ingenieur Automatic 40 was launched by the watchmaker back in April and features a green dial that is inspired from a bespoke model watch worn by Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes in the movie.
The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer also shared three new chronographs in its Pilot’s Watches collection when they launched this. They feature a design with colour codes and details inspired by the team colours and race cars of “APXGP”, the fictional team at the heart of the movie.
Samson Kayo – Rolex
Another stunning Rolex was on show on the night courtesy of Samson Kayo. He wore the Day-Date model in yellow-gold – check out the look here:
