Meghan Markle has been seen wearing a new pear-shaped diamond ring on a number of recent occassions.
Starting in September last year when Markle attended the One805 Live and then Paris Fashion Week a month later, Markle has made the ring a frequent fixture on her right hand, also wearing it to the NBA All-Star Game and a screening of Cookie Queens while it has also been featured on her social media.
Based on expert estimates, the ring features a diamond that is between five and six carats, bigger than her treasured engagement ring from Prince Harry. Depeneding on whether the stones are lab-grown or natural, the ring could be worth anywhere from between a few thousand and a massive mid-six-figure sum.
While Markle is often open about the jewellery she wears, she has not yet commented on the maker of her pear-shaped piece, though the quality of the stone and how often she is seen with it perhaps indicates that it was a gift.
Last year, Markle debuted her own online Instagram shop which gave fans the opportunity to explore her favourite pieces in the worlds of jewellery and fashion.
At the centre of the project is Markle’s own personal taste with fans able to purchase the Happiness Retreat necklace from Los Angeles jeweller Maya Brenner, created alongside Meghan’s close friend, actress Abigail Spencer.
The £400 necklace features a citrine crystal wrapped in a delicate 14-karat gold band, finished with a sparkling white diamond. Citrine is known as a stone of positivity, joy, and creativity. Described as a wearable piece to “protect your peace”, the necklace is said to encourage calmness and optimism.
Also featured are the Royal Signet stud earrings from Californian jeweller Ariel Gordon Jewelry. Crafted in polished 14k yellow gold, the pair has become a wardrobe staple for Markle, notably showcased in her divisive Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
Other popular items from Meghan’s first drop include the luxurious ‘Windsor’ gown by California designer Heidi Merrick, priced at £1,068, and everyday staples like a classic white linen shirt and stylish Saint Laurent sandals.
Elsewhere on the royal front, Markle’s nephew, Prince George, finally made his watch debut in an Instagram video posted by his parents to celebrate his birthday.
In the video, the Royal Family appear to be on holiday and George can be seen enjoying cricket, rock climbing and some time with the family dog as he celebrates turning 13.
In the clip, George can be seen wearing a Garmin D2 Air X15, the same brand his dad famously wore during a 2023 food bank while he was also sporting an Omega Seamaster on his other wrist.
The smartwatch retails for £600, considerably less than the Apple Watch and was designed with pilots in mind, featuring tools such as a LED torch, GPS navigation and aviation weather information.
