For the first time, FIFA will present Super Bowl-style championship rings to the winners of Sunday’s 2026 World Cup final between Argentina and Spain. Get all the details below.
This coming Sunday, the winners of the 2026 World Cup will be taking more than a glittering gold trophy home with them.
FIFA has announced that, for the first time in history whoever triumphs in the Argentina v. Spain final will also be taking home a set of Super Bowl-style championship rings, “bringing iconic American sporting tradition to global football.”
A limited-edition run of 2,206 individually-numbered, gem-set rings will be made available, with 30 reserved just for the winning team and the rest (1,996) available to fans worldwide “as an official licensed product”, the organisation has said.
One side of each ring features an image of the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy, whilst the other will be customied to reflect the identity and colours of the winning team. Each piece will also be individually numbered, custom-fitted, and delivered with its own certificate of authenticity.
What’s more, FIFA has announced that, immediately after the final match, the captain and head coach of the winning team will receive temporary championship rings to celebrate the moment, after which each of the 30 bespoke rings will be customised and then officially presented at a later date.
This year’s World Cup tournament has also provided a parade of excellent watches for lovers of horology.

Elsewhere, David Beckham, a longtime ambassador for Tudor, attended the Argentina versus Cape Verde match sporting one of the brand’s latest and most impressive models – the Black Bay Chrono in a Bumblebee colourway.
And Jay-Z, who has also been performing his 30th anniversary concerts in New York alongside Beyoncé and Rihanna, was seen in one of the rarest pieces in the entire Audemars Piguet canon. This particular reference was released back in 1997 and is made from the rare and unique combination of tantalum and platinum. Only 16 were ever manufactured and JAY-Z casually brought his out to watch Ivory Coast play Ecuador.
