Jenna Ortega wears on trend toi-et-moi ring for ‘Wednesday’ press tour

The latest season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday has finally debuted and with it, some winning jewellery looks – courtesy of stars like Jenna Ortega.

During her press tour for the show, Ortega appeared on Good Morning America in a suitably spooky, ‘Wednesday-esque’ outfit by Willy Chavarria, complete with show-stopping platforms, a nipped-and-tucked grey blazer and mysterious-looking, wide-brimmed hat.

To complete the look, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star also sported a sparkling toi-et-moi ring with blood red gemstones by Californian jeweller, Sheryl Lowe. Renowned for her easy, 70s-inspired accessories, the designer already has a huge celebrity fanbase including Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Anniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Walter Goggins from The White Lotus.

The piece – an open silver ring adorned with an emerald-cut garnet and oval-cut red tourmaline with a diamond halo – is a contemporary, goth girl riff on the classic ‘toi-et-moi’ style, which has seen a surge in demand in recent years. Celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski, Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner and Megan Fox have all previously embraced the style, whose name translates to ‘you and me’ in French, as a nod to the way its two gemstones are set side-by-side on a looped band. These have traditionally represented the joining of two lovers as one – a romantic notion which makes the style a popular option for engagement rings.

Ortega, meanwhile, remained tight lipped on whether this amorous accessory signalled any upcoming romantic plot lines in the latest Wednesday series. “Season two, we’re still with the same cast, and there’s a lot of new faces as well coming in to play because a lot of people had unfortunate endings, of course,” she teased on the breakfast show. “It’s just like…darker, bigger, better.”

‘Wednesday’s’ Georgie Farmer on advice he received from ‘Stranger Things’ star Finn Wolfhard

Our July 2025 cover star, Georgie Farmer, star of hit Netflix show Wednesday, has told us what fans can expect from the “darker” new season that arrives later this summer.

The star, who plays Ajax in the Tim Burton-directed show, also spoke about working with new cast members Steve Buscemi and Billie Piper and receiving some advice from Stranger Things star, Finn Wolfhard.

Farmer spoke about the parallels between the young cast of Stranger Things and Wednesday and dealing with success at a young age.

He went on to reveal that Wolfhard met with him and offered some advice.

He explained: “I spent some time with Finn Wolfhard in Germany and we went out for dinner. I don’t want to say what he told me because I want to keep it between us, but just for
him to even just sit with me and talk with me for that long and offer me advice was incredible.

“Honestly, he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He’s great and they’ve all been great, like every time I’ve met anyone from that show, they’re just so nice. I can’t wait for the final season of Stranger Things: it’s going to be incredible.”
