Taylor Swift brings her engagement ring and wedding band back for the VMAs 2026

Taylor Swift sparkled in an array of fabulous jewels at the VMAs 2026, including her elongated oval engagement ring and gold wedding band. Check out all the details of her look below.

Taylor Swift made history last night, by becoming the most successful artist in the history of the at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The singer-songwriter took home the video of the year award for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’, from her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl. She also score the debut award for artist director, having conceived and directed the Ophelia music video herself.

Accepting her award, the 36-year-old dedicated it to “the ultimate showgirl”, claiming “we were all very lucky to share this planet with Dolly Parton for a time.”

Taylor’s husband Travis Kelce sadly couldn’t be at the event to witness her big win, as he and his teammates in the Kansas City Chiefs had travelled to Florida for a match against the Miami Dolphins.

But the singer made sure he was with her in spirit, by wearing her 10-carat old mine cut engagement ring with its delicately hand-engraved yellow gold band by New York designer Kindred Lubeck, and her $16,000 diamond-set gold wedding band.

Taylor added a little extra sparkle to her shimmering Tamara Ralph gown with the Etho Maria Diamond Brushed ring by Leviev Diamonds, and a bespoke, multi-cut diamond Royale ring by Forever Diamonds New York. She also wore the maker’s elaborate diamond Dangle earrings, and extra diamond studs by Anita Ko.

This latest look comes just days after Swift put aside her engagement and wedding ring stack and showcased another emerald-cut diamond ring in a promotional image to accompany her latest single, ‘Patient Zero’, which was released on September 22.

This year’s VMAs marked Taylor’s first as a married woman, and saw her nominated for an incredible nine different gongs, including Artist of the Year, Best Pop, Video of the Year, Best Direction, and Best Visual Effects.

By also scooping the inaugural MTV Artist Director Award, for her “directorial work [that] has advanced the art of music video and storytelling,” Taylor’s lifetime VMA haul has now reached a historic 33 awards, putting her ahead of the former record holder Beyoncé, who currently has 26.
