Zendaya walked the Emmys red carpet on Monday night in Mikimoto pearls for the first time since 2022, and the first Emmy’s that she hasn’t worn Bvlgari. Instead she wore the Japanese house’s Les Pétales Place Vendôme earrings, which are from their Les Pétales collection.
The earrings were 12mm White South Sea pearls surrounded by 4.40 carats of diamonds together with two matching rings, one a 13mm with 3.42 carats of diamonds (POA) and the other a Les Pétales Place Vendôme Ring White South Sea cultured pearl 12.00-12.50mm (£12,700).
On her left hand was a diamond set Rolex Lady-Datejust 28mm. Since October last year she’s been a testimonee for the brand. On her left hand was her wedding band and engagement ring from Jessica McCormack. Her dress was Prada, a plunging column of beige illusion mesh covered in crystals, and her hair styled in an on trend pixie haircut.

She was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the final season of Euphoria but lost to Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus. She has won the award twice before, in 2020 and 2022, and remains the youngest actor to have won two Emmys for acting.

Zendaya had been a Bvlgari global ambassador for six years from 2020. The house had dressed her for every major carpet in that time, including both of her Emmy wins. Zendaya wore Bvlgari jewels in 2020, a Bvlgari diamond choker in 2022. Recently she’s been mixing her jewellery – Zendaya wore Boucheron on the red carpet in July, as well as vintage David Webb in Shanghai for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere in Shanghai . On Monday she wore nothing from the Roman house. Her stylist Law Roach looked to Japanese pearl brand Mikimoto instead, and said why: he wanted to take something as timeless as Mikimoto pearls and make them feel fresh, modern and young.
Mikimoto invented the cultured pearl in 1893 and subsequently turned the pearl industry on its head. Les Pétales Place Vendôme is named for the Paris boutique, and the collection was presented in 2017 in Paris at Couture Week, meanwhile the high jewellery collection Les Pétales launched in 2025. The collection notably puts large South Sea pearls inside diamond petals. Zendaya hasn’t worn Mikimoto before. Pearls on a 30-year-old at the Emmys, next to a gown made of crystal, is a point – pearls are old school, Zendaya’s freshening them up.

The Mikimoto high jewellery Les Pétales earrings have a price on application but US sources have attributed $27,000 while on Zendaya’s wrist was a Rolex Lady-Datejust 28 in white gold, reference 279459RBR and she also wore it to the Oscars in March. The case is 28mm. The bezel is set with 44 diamonds. The dial is paved with 291 diamonds under black Roman numerals. The President bracelet carries another 596. It is $177,400 in the US. On the same hand she wore her Jessica McCormack engagement ring, a five-carat cushion-cut diamond on a thin gold band, with her wedding band beside it. The Mikimoto rings went on the right hand.
Roach stopped styling clients in 2023 and kept Zendaya as the exception. Her last three carpets have been Louis Vuitton at the Oscars, Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week and Prada on Monday. Zendaya may not have won the award, but everyone will remember what she wore last night, and pearls came out as a winner too.
